Time for me to vent a little.

We just bought a 2005 Dodge Ram SLT Quadcab 4X4, and within a week of owning it we took it in for service and detailing...
The service was due to a power seat switch that decided to stop working the day we wanted to buy the truck, it worked the day before when I was looking for a truck and didn't when we went to buy. This service is covered by warranty so it could have been taken to a closer shop then where we bought the truck 2 states away, but since we took delivery in the late evening the Detail shop was closed and we got am IOU on the detailing...
We also asked the to fix a tire that somehow picked up a scew in the week we had the truck.

Below you see what we got back!!! (Comments above each pic)

What did they Detail?   What is Sticky?

Rear Passenger Door
The Passenger side rear door has 2 scratches and one dent, and you can see where the salesman
was trying to defend the service department and tried to "clean it off" with cleaner.

Another shot of the 2 scratches, and you can see a little more where the salesman tried to "clean it off".

Close-up on the front most scratch, this thing is deep, and you can see the other stufff in the background

Another shot of the 2 scratches using the flash so you can tell how deep into the paint they went.

There is also a chip in the paint on the passenger side rear door,in the Jam between the front and
rear doors, where it looks like something might have been shut in the font door.

A closer shot of the door jam chip, notice it is down to bare metal!!!

Passenger Fender
The Passenger side front fender has a dent right where the body rolls causing it to be a crease.
Notice how it makes the house look like the roof fell in.

Inside Front Passenger Door 1
OK there was a good deal of little scratches on the inside of the truck, both near where the Jack
is stowed under the front seat plus on the interior of the door and on the door sill.
First there are marks around where the Jack goes, I know they used it because I made sure it was
tight in the mount and when we got it back the bolt was almost all the way out, you can see it
in the pic. NOTE: the dealership agreed to order new parts for this already.

There are scratches on the interior door panel that match up to scratches on the floor.
This is a shot of the floor, the ones to see later on the door line up directly with the ones on the floor.
I am thinking the Vaccumm was placed there and it was jerked around or something, because that is all that was detailed.
BTW how do you scratch up carpet???
NOTE: the dealership agreed to order new parts, but not sure what of this is covered?
Interior scratches, I think came from a vaccuum

A shot of both the pastic and metal damaged in the door sill.

A Closer view of the door sill, notice how that paint chipped off down to bare metal!!

An even closer shot to try to show how bad this is...
Interior scratches, I think came from a vaccuum

As I stated above the were scratches on the interior door panel that are directly above those
scratches and chips on the florrr and door sill. This shot should give perspective to where the scratches are.
Notice a little one near the speaker ans a couple of V shaped scratches on the map pocket...

A closer shot of the V shaped scratches on the map pocket, it almost looks like the door was slighly
opened and closed on something that started to fall out and scratched it, Again something tells me Vaccuum!!!

What did they Detail?
OK remember the reason for going back to this Dealership is beacuse this is where we bought the
truck and they gave us an IOU on the detailing, when the damage happened we all (dealership and
us) think that is was caused by the detailers, but WTF did they actually Detail??? The carpets
were cleaned and it looks like the truck was hosed off and not even hosed off well!!!
Look at the bed liner, it was dirty because the truck was parked on a hill in the dirt before we bought it...
What was cleaned???

Another shot of the bed liner
What was cleaned???

Even the mud flaps still had mud on them, and do you see that the wheels still have writing on
them, how is that detailed it isn't even cleaned???

Here is a close up of our "Detailed" wheels...

What is Sticky?
OK Now it's time to get into the truck, yeah they did vaccumm the interior yet didn't even wipe the interior down,
but what is that on the windows? They never cleaned the windows and there is still sticky crap
from the window stickers all over them... This is the Passenger side front door window.

Now where the main sales sticker was on the rear passenger side window, the windows are tinted so
it is hard to see, but there is glue on them too.
