John and Marie enjoy running together, and one of their favorite places to run is Ridley Creek State Park in Pennsylvania. There is a 4+ mile paved loop at the park and on October 1st, 2003 John took Marie for a walk there at dusk. They sat down on a bench near the creek, John got on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes!
